Damn! It's traffic!

Washington D.C. is my city. Besides the Capitol Building, the monuments and the Smithsonian there is another famous picture that comes to mind when working in city: The DC Traffic Jams. WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON PEOPLE!!! Over 500,000 people live in DC while during work hours that population about doubles to over 1 million people. That's a lot of people and a lot of cars. Construction is everywhere and you will likely see more of this than trees and green spaces. I've never lived right in the city; most of my life has been spent in the (close-in) suburbs. This doesn't make any difference anymore. We have traffic all over the damn place. The "DC Wait" as it's called has made headaches from everyone to politicians to housewives, police and firemen, busy yuppie-wannabes and everyone else in between.
But there is no reason to complain. Oh really?! Why?
There is lots to do while you wait in your car on the freeway for 45 minutes to get 10 miles from your house.
So what to do while I wait? Well, for one you can enjoy the sights of the new "Hot Lanes" construction near Tyson's Corner. This is apparently going to look like a scene out of Bladerunner when it is finished. The new Metro rail bridge looks like it is going up into the sky and then dropping down into the office building metropolis and shopping mecca of the region. I fear that Captain America and all his Fantastic Four buddies are gonna crap in their pants once they see what they gotta deal with here. The Doom Patrol better keep on the ball.... This what it is gonna take to police all the friggin' people driving around up here.
This is a little off-topic, but The new Redskins are the talk of the town after many off season acquisitions and a optimistic look at the the season ahead. I still think they should just asassinate Albert Haynesworth and play without him. Him and Dan Snyder. Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals look to rebound after a disappointing post-season. They have, as of this writing lost their last four games and are set to play this Saturday.
