Cool American

Are American’s still the “coolest” nationality?

People are no longer "Cool" in America.

You might meet one person here or there but the answer is no. Rudeness has taken over and the disregard for others has been made okay. I don't think That is cool. Basically self-centeredness has become very common. I'm embarassed by the way we behave and immigrants here must be appalled. Not all Americans are "jerks" or "uncool". In fact, the number of total A-Holes is on the rise! I am an American and find that I encounter a growing number of people who are just not nice people. If they are nice. You just have to wait till things do not go their way! THEN LOOK OUT... They get nasty and malicious real quick! Whatever happen to common courtesy (or even empathy). I have a feeling this is on my mind because of the anniversary of 9-11. Perhaps that event -and a few others- has created a sort of xenophobia that didn't exist before. Rudeness is the lack of intelligence! BUT, it is a poor response/action to control or get what you want through basic bullying. "America still has real cowboys out west. No cowboy hats but you know one when you meet one. They are the real deal and cool. They don't take flack from anyone but are the nicest people if you are willing to drop your attitude! So Cool still exist but probably not much longer." (Infographic, 9-8-11) One of the greatest things about America is that it is the country that people call "The Land of the Free". But if we are so happy, why do we not always act like it? ...and what really is "cool" anyway?
What do you think?
