It is exciting about the Washington Nationals this season. They are in the playoffs this year and the fans are going wild! Game 3 of the NL division series between the Washington Nationals and St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday, October 10, is this afternoon. It will be the first time the nation's capital has hosted Major League Baseball postseason action since 1933, when the Washington Senators lost to the New York Giants in the World Series.
...an AMAZING change for a team that has, since forming out of the Montreal Expos in 2006, has usually been in the lower ranks of the National Leaugue. The Yankees are playing the Baltimore Orioles in the American League. They draw more of an audience -being they are the other favorite team of Washingtonians this is a real treat. I plan on weathering the Metro to get down to Nats Park by 1 pm. ...to be determined. Whoosh!!
